How to manage rosacea naturally

Rosacea is a common inflammatory skin disorder that typically affects people with fair skin. About 13% of the Irish population suffer from rosacea.
Rosacea normally affects the face and can even cause inflammation to the eyes and the eyelids.
People that suffer from rosacea often experience intense facial blushing or flushing, redness that may look like sunburn but does not go away, the appearance of tiny blood vessels on the face and even small red bumps that at times may resemble acne.
We don’t know what causes rosacea. There are a number of different theories about causes from a generalised disorder of the blood vessels to microscopic skin mites and problems with connective tissue under the skin. Watch this video from the DCU Charles Institute on the current concepts and research on rosacea.
According to the DCU Charles Institute, the dry, sensitive skin that is a hallmark symptom of rosacea suggests a malfunction of the sufferers’ skin barrier. While there is no cure for rosacea, general redness, heat in the skin and resulting dryness can be managed naturally.
Bee Loved’s Face Cream is ideal for people with sensitive skin and inflammatory skin conditions as it contains natural ingredients such as chamomile, aloe and shea butter that reduce inflammation and evening primrose oil which is known to target and help regulate the body’s inflammatory response. Importantly for rosacea suffers where the skin’s natural barrier is considered an issue, Bee Loved’s Face Cream contains beeswax which forms a protective barrier on the skin, allowing it to breathe and maintain its natural moisture balance.
